Halloween is quickly creeping up on us and with a lot more freedom for celebrations compared with 2020 – it’s time to go full out with your hair and makeup. Whilst we were stuck in lockdowns, many of us were glued to the sofa watching a variety of TV Shows and films on every streaming platform under the sun. We’ve taken the opportunity to revisit some classic characters from TV and film to give us some inspiration for Halloween Hairstyles.

Princess Leia from 'Star Wars'

Princess Leia is brave, beautiful and incredibly chic when it comes to her hairstyles. These big buns are instantly recognisable and super easy to recreate. Simply pair this hairstyle with a white long sleeve top or dress and you’re sorted.

Sanderson Sisters from 'Hocus Pocus'

Go beyond being a basic witch for Halloween. If you’re looking for a group costume, the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus provide you with 3 distinct hairstyles to recreate. Work some magic to transform yourself into Winifred, Sarah or Mary.

Wanda/Scarlet Witch from 'WandaVision'

WandaVision took us on a trip through the decades, whilst also poking fun at previous designs of the famous comic book character of the Scarlet Witch. Everything lead up to the big season finale where her full power was revealed, as well as a super striking new look. Create tousled waves and complete your look with a crimson red tiara.

Hades from 'Hercules'

Create a look that is drop-dead gorgeous inspired by the lord of the Underworld himself. Hades is a seriously under-rated Disney villain who is instantly known for his flaming blue hair. Simply add a pop of blue hair colour spray or wax to create a distinct and dazzling hairstyle.

Cruella de Vil from 'Cruella'

Whether you choose to use a wig, or black and white hair spray – Cruella de Vil's black and white hair is what makes the Disney villainess so iconic. The new 2021 Live-action film saw Cruella switch up her look with a variety of curly hairstyles which can easily be created with a tight curling wand.

Daenerys Targaryen from 'Game of Thrones'

It may have been a couple of years now since Game of Thrones aired the final episode (which we are still not over!) but with the new prequel series ‘House of The Dragon’ being teased it’s the perfect time to revisit the Mother of Dragons herself. Like many other characters, Daenerys Targaryen had a range of stunning styles throughout the TV series, which were distinct in representing the change in her character. As you go through the seasons you’ll see more and more braids added to her iconic icy blonde tresses.

Wednesday Addams from 'The Addams Family'

They’re creepy and they’re spooky – and have a knack for hauntingly beautiful hairstyles. Wednesday wears her sleek black hair parted in the middle and braided on both sides. Simply pair this hairstyle with a little gothic make-up and a black dress and you’re ready to go. This look is ideal if you’ve been invited to a last-minute Halloween party.

Merida from 'Brave'

Be bold and brave. Whilst many Disney princesses have sleek updos, Merida is best known for her fiery, wild hair. You’ll want to use a Tight Curl Stick to create ringlet curls with dazzling definition. The key to this look is to not worry about being neat, it's supposed to look like you've been running through the wind and enjoying the outdoors.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
